IN-HOUSE LAB WORK
Preventative Medicine and Chronic Healthcare
Annual check-ups are a great time to address health concerns and have important conversations with your doctor about your well-being. These appointments can cover a wide range of topics depending on your age and needs, such as menstrual issues, menopause, hormone therapy, birth control, pregnancy planning, intimacy, and more. Additionally, we can discuss preventive care for conditions like hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and Type 1 or 2 diabetes. Dr. Stemmerman also specializes in treating thyroid disease, and Infinity Medical Clinic is equipped to manage any combination of chronic medical conditions.
At Infinity, we offer comprehensive women’s health care, including physical exams, Pap smears, breast exams, and STI testing as part of your routine check-up. We also provide annual physicals for men, ensuring complete care for all patients. Please note that we do not offer DOT physicals.
If you’re interested in PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) to help prevent HIV, we can discuss whether it’s right for you during your appointment. Our team is dedicated to providing confidential, compassionate care and supporting you in maintaining your overall health.
Physicals
Dr. Stemmerman performs annual physicals for adolescents and adults. Adolescent physical exams are required to participate in sports. In addition, in many districts, they’re required to attend school.
Adult physical exams are highly beneficial because of the preventative health benefits provided. Some adults only visit the doctor when they’ve become ill. Therefore, they’re risking missing out on age-appropriate health screenings, immunizations, and vaccines. All of these can help prevent significant health issues. Regardless of age, it’s never too late to start getting physical exams again.
In-House Lab Work
As an outpatient family medical clinic, we offer in-house lab work. Our capabilities include strep screens, urine analysis, flu testing, pregnancy testing, and routine blood work. Lab work is processed in our office. However, sometimes we send labs to a contracted outside the laboratory. This allows us to minimize turnaround time for certain types of testing and get you the accurate results you need. We’re able to reduce turnaround time to 1-2 days for all routine blood work.
