A family doctor is a medical professional who provides comprehensive care across a broad spectrum of health issues without specializing in a specific area of medicine. They manage a wide range of conditions, offering preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment for various illnesses and maintaining overall health for individuals and families.
Three aspects of family medicine:
Preventative care – Preventative healthcare is a set of healthcare measures. It includes regular medical care and healthy behaviors to help our patients stay healthy and detect health problems early. Your family doctor will provide you with the tools and knowledge you need to prevent illnesses before they occur. This routine healthcare includes screenings, check-ups, and patient counseling to prevent illnesses, diseases, or other health problems.
Diagnostic care – At Infinity Medical Clinic, we can also provide diagnostic care for your family. If you or a family member becomes ill, your family doctor will be able to diagnose and treat the illness. Our team is also trained to provide care for chronic conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and arthritis.
Comprehensive care – Family doctors are trained to provide a wide range of services, from diagnosing and treating illnesses to providing specialty care. This means that our care team can focus on optimizing the health of our patients, rather than simply treating illnesses.
If you or your family need a primary care provider, you can find a trustworthy children’s doctor at Infinity Medical Clinic.
We always want to help our patients feel better, so we make it a priority to have daytime appointments available for sick visits. Calling our office as early as possible is the best way to ensure you get a same-day appointment. We’ll always do our best to get our patients in for a visit and on their way to feeling better.
Athletic and school physicals are a great time to get 10-18 year-olds into the doctor, make sure they’re developing correctly. We also will get them caught up on any immunizations they’re lacking. These physicals are usually done in late summer or early in the school year.
We make special considerations when scheduling these visits. We want kids to have priority, so they can get out and active as quickly as possible. Give us a call and we’ll schedule an appointment as soon as possible.
Anxiety and depression can occur in childhood but are treatable. With anxiety, a child may feel nervous, scared, or shy and may start to avoid places and activities.
A child suffering from depression may start to become sad or uninterested in things they used to enjoy. If your child is experiencing these symptoms, we offer treatments that can help.
Dr. Stemmerman provides vaccinations, well-child physicals, and pre-school physical forms. Please contact us to learn more about child physicals at Infinity Medical Clinic.
We frequently hear from families who suspect that their child or teen has ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. We rely on a variety of interviews and tests to determine if the symptoms point to an ADHD diagnosis, and if so, which type of ADHD. ADHD can be managed with proper treatment, and Dr. Stemmerman provides medication and therapeutic recommendations to patients. Please contact us to learn more about ADHD testing and treatment.

AUTONOMY IN TREATMENT DECISIONS
Our health professionals have more autonomy in making treatment decisions without the constraints sometimes imposed by larger healthcare organizations. This independence can result in more tailored and innovative treatment plans that prioritize our patients’ best interests.
At Infinity Medical Clinic, we provide comprehensive health management for all family members, from children to adults, allowing for a more integrated understanding of each individual’s health history and family dynamics. This continuity supports personalized and holistic care, addressing interconnected health concerns efficiently.
Additionally, it simplifies the appointment process by allowing the entire family to be seen by the same provider, enhancing convenience. Family doctors emphasize preventive care and wellness for all ages, which can lead to early detection and prevention of potential health issues. Their broad expertise also means they can coordinate with specialists when necessary, ensuring a well-rounded approach to health that covers both pediatric and adult needs.
